The Blood Borne

Instinct and experimentation drive a dangerous alternative to the old vampire covens and their inherited rules.

The Blood Lords

Ancient vampire covens bind blood, power, and inherited authority to ritual and tradition.

The Children

Moving among society’s elite, the Children wield psychic power and sustain themselves by draining human life force.

Da Ten Shi

Power is not given; it is taken. The Da Ten Shi challenge who gets to decide how far a person may reach.

The Darcs

Feline transformation, sharp instincts, and precise action meet the loyalties and pressures of the Pride.

The Hundred Thousand

A warrior sect dedicated to humanity’s protection and its next stage of evolution. The mission is greater than the person.

The Inordinately Blessed

Ordinary humans who develop extraordinary conviction—and commit their gifts to protecting humanity.

The Kollective

Different Selves, scattered across time, share an origin—but not a single purpose or a guaranteed future.

The Magi

The Magi draw the energy of the universe through themselves, then shape and direct it as Magic.

The Nameless

Warriors on a Shugyosha: tested in the world beyond the Stronghold, hunting the things that live in the shadows.

The Style Assassins

Masters of mind, body, and soul whose power is developed through discipline rather than drawn from external Magic.

The Uruk

The strength of the pack extends beyond the body. Shared connection and the preservation of knowledge bind the Uruk together.

The Current

The inner power cultivated by the Hundred Thousand. Nameless and Style Assassins develop it through three States: Action, Meditative, and Emotional.

Action State

The Current expressed through physical action: heightened strength, speed, precision, and combat movement.

Meditative State

A State associated with healing, energy shields, telepathy, telekinesis, and the focused manipulation of matter.

Emotional State

Emotion becomes energy. The challenge is to wield that intensity without being consumed by it.

Quantum Armor & Bracers

Specialized armor and bracers turn control of matter into practical protection. Creating and repairing advanced gear requires Meditative skill.

Magic

Magi draw the energy of the universe through themselves, then form and direct it into spells.

Summoning

Calling forth cosmic energy and shaping it into tangible power is a major achievement in the Magi’s discipline.

The Crystal Bond

A Magus’s Crystal is a sentient companion and a keeper of experience, tied to a sacred rite of passage.

Burning Magic

A destructive use of Magic that destabilizes the practitioner as a conduit.

The Black Flame

A rare, feared form of Magic whose use places a wielder in direct conflict with Magi law.

The Power of Belief

The Inordinately Blessed train conviction into deliberate influence over the world and their own bodies.

Blessings

A Believer augments the energy surrounding an object’s creation, assigning it a function that can remain after its maker dies.

Blood Magic

The Blood Borne and Blood Lords shape blood into weapons, armor, shields, and other constructs.

Bloodline Power Mimicry

By consuming the blood of powerful beings, Bloodline vampires can temporarily reproduce abilities beyond their usual repertoire.

Life-Force Feeding

The Children feed on life force rather than blood. Absorbed energy sustains them and strengthens their physical and psychic abilities.

Tasting & Psychic Bonds

Through Tasting, a Child samples a potential victim’s life energy and establishes a psychic link.

Breathing True Life

A rare rite in which a Child grants another being the ability to draw life force.

Uruk Transformations

The Uruk move between a human guise, wolf forms, and increasingly powerful hybrids as their control develops.

Emotisync Bonding

Shared emotions and intentions let the Uruk coordinate as a pack without spoken commands.

Darc Transformations

Darcs combine human intellect with feline instinct, transforming for stealth, agility, or overwhelming strength.

Therianthrope Resilience

Tough hides, accelerated healing, natural weapons, and resistance to many magical attacks make these shapeshifters formidable.

Absorption Among the Selves

The Selves do not all possess the same abilities. Absorption and mimicry take different forms—and have different limits—for different individuals.
